C-003448: ATR Speech Database of Many Speakers (English translation)
The corpus contains speech recordings of about 3,700 Japanese speakers simulating telephone conversations. It is a large scale dialogue speech database based on recordings of natural speech by speakers from all over Japan, representing a wide variety of people of different regional origins and ages. The corpus consists of 3 subcorpora; (1) APP, simulated dialogue speech recordings, (2) APP-BLA, reading of 50 ATR phonetically balanced sentences and (3) APP-DIC, reading of words and sentences from Japanese dictionaries.

C-003450: ATR Conversational Expression Database (Simulated Dialogue Data) (English translation)
The corpus contains transcripts of speech recordings of simulated conversations by Japanese and English speakers in the touristic domain and their translations. There are three types of dialogue in the corpus: (1) Japanese monolingual conversation (conversation between Japanese speakers. Translated into English after the recording), (2) English monolingual conversation (conversation between English speakers. Translated into Japanese after the recording) and (3) Japanese-English bilingual conversation (Japanese-English conversations between a Japanese speaker and an English speaker via 2 interpreters). The corpus includes Japanese text files, English text files, Japanese-English parallel text files, POS information data for both Japanese and English dialogues.

The corpus is a collection of non-continuous, common travel expressions in Japanese and their English translations, not a collection of transcripts of simulated dialogues.

The corpus consists of 2 subcorpora; (1) transcripts of speech recordings of simulated conversations by Japanese and English speakers in the touristic domain and their translations (Simulated Dialogue Data) and (2) a collection of non-continuous, common travel expressions in Japanese and their English translations (not transcripts of recorded speech) (Conversational Expressions). For the simulated dialogue transcripts, there are three types of dialogue; (1) Japanese monolingual conversations and their English translations, (2) English monolingual conversations and their Japanese translations and (3) Japanese-English bilingual conversations via 2 interpreters. POS information data for for the simulated dialogue data are available.
